I build backend services in Rust, Go, and Java, and the Kubernetes platforms they run on.
Three systems I built alone at INS. The other two run on the first one.
The first Kubernetes cluster at INS, and a lot of the company runs on it now. Deploys used to be done by hand over SSH. Now a merge is a deploy: CI checks every change against the cluster's admission policies before it lands, and adding a service is as small as adding a folder to the repo. Secrets come from a vault instead of Git, and logs, metrics and traces all end up in Grafana.
Takes alerts from monitoring and backup tools and turns them into one incident per service, which opens a ticket and closes it again when the problem clears. Every change is committed to Postgres before it goes out over NATS, so a crash between services can't lose an alert. Customers get their own portal, kept apart by Postgres row-level security.
A multi-tenant platform for SMS campaigns. Contact lists stream into Postgres with COPY, tested with a 3.5-million-row file. Postgres is the source of truth and NATS only carries the work, with deterministic message IDs so a retried batch never creates duplicates. KEDA scales the workers on queue lag and backlog, and delivery reports show up live in the dashboard.

k9s at work and Hyprland at home got me hooked on terminal UIs, and I wanted Hyprland's tiling inside them. So I wrote a tiling layout engine for Ratatui: split, resize and move panes inside one terminal app.
